SJCLT sponsors educational workshops for its members, tenant/owners, and the community including:

Homebuyer education (requirement of becoming a SJCLT homeowner)
Financial literacy
Cybersecurity & fraud protection
Other topics can be added depending on need & capacity

SJCLT's Emergency Grant program provides funds to help members deal with unexpected costs due to an unforeseen emergency such as a hot water heater or car breakdown. While designed for its members, grants may be extended to non members. For example, when the Caldor Wildfire caused the evacuation of South Lake Tahoe, including the Sierra Garden tenants, SJCLT's Board extended eligibility and provided funds to 21 tenant households including mobility impaired and single parents with children.
